Product Overview
Cutlery Mania Modular Prep Station 42" – 3-Piece Interlocking HDPE Cutting Board
Big-board workspace. Small-board convenience. A prep station that pulls apart, cleans up, and swaps out mid-shift.
Made in the USA — Built for the Working Butcher
Your Modular Prep Station is cut and finished in New Jersey. We built it to solve a problem every meat cutter knows: a full-size work surface that's a headache to clean, store, and move.
The answer is three interlocking pieces that work as one continuous surface, then come apart when you need them to. Pull a single section to the sink instead of wrestling a four-foot slab. Swap out one soiled piece mid-shift and keep working. Store it in a fraction of the space. It's a professional-grade cutting surface designed around how a real kitchen actually runs.
Using Your Modular Design
Three sections lock together along interlocking tab joints to form one continuous surface.
To assemble: Lay the three sections flat on a clean, level surface and align the tabs. Fit the joints together gently until the edges sit flush - the pieces should meet with no forcing.
To separate: Lift and ease the sections apart at the joint. Don't twist or pry with a tool - the pieces release with hand pressure alone.
Working tips:
- Use the full three-piece surface or one or two sections as needed.
- Pull a single section to the sink for quick cleaning without clearing your whole station.
- Keep a spare section clean and swap it in mid-task to separate raw proteins from produce and reduce cross-contamination.
- Always cut on a stable surface. A damp towel or non-slip mat underneath keeps the board from shifting.
Care & Cleaning
Made from Sanalite® HDPE, this surface is non-porous — it won't absorb liquids, blood, bacteria, or odors the way wood can, making it one of the most sanitary cutting surfaces available for raw meat.
Everyday cleaning:
- Wash each piece with hot water and dish soap after every use.
- Top-rack dishwasher-safe. Separate the pieces before loading. Avoid high-heat "sanitize" and heated-dry cycles — HDPE can soften and warp under sustained high heat.
- To sanitize, wipe or soak with a diluted bleach solution (1 tablespoon unscented bleach per gallon of water), then rinse thoroughly and air-dry.
To keep it performing:
- Air-dry standing up, or lay the pieces flat and separated so all surfaces dry evenly.
- Never use it as a trivet or set hot pans on it, and keep away from stovetops, ovens, and open flame. HDPE softens well below cooking temperatures.
- Restore a worn surface by sanding lightly with fine-grit sandpaper.
- Individual sections can be replaced rather than the whole board — contact us for single-piece replacements.
